Deven Soni is CEO and founder of Vertical Data, an AI infrastructure company providing GPU servers, data center colocation, and GPU financing to enterprises scaling their compute capacity. He began his career as an M&A investment banker at Lazard before joining the technology private equity teams at Goldman Sachs and Highland Capital Partners.
He has co-founded and led multiple companies across technology and digital assets, including Wired Investors, Snowball Industries, and Acquira, directing acquisitions and post-merger integrations across sectors. He also served as founding COO of Tokens.com. At Vertical Data, Deven leads the company's strategy to make enterprise AI compute infrastructure accessible and financeable at scale. He holds a BS from the University of California, Berkeley.
Christopher Creatura is CFO, COO, and co-founder of Vertical Data. He oversees the company's financial strategy, capital markets activity, and operational infrastructure supporting GPU financing and data center solutions for enterprise clients. A CPA, CA, he brings broad experience across M&A, capital markets, and venture investing to Vertical Data's growth and financing programs.
Christopher previously served as CFO at Live Patrol, VP of Growth at Bluefin, and Operating Partner at Enduring Ventures, and began his career in investment banking at BofA Merrill Lynch and M&A advisory at Deloitte. He is the founder of Conway Merchants, a boutique merchant bank, and serves as General Partner at Corse Ventures.
Trevor Koverko is a technology entrepreneur, investor, and co-founder of Vertical Data. He founded Polymath and Polymesh, a blockchain infrastructure platform built for tokenized securities, and co-founded Tokens.com, Sapien, Matador, and DeFi Technologies. He currently leads Sapien, an AI data marketplace focused on powering next-generation AI training and data pipelines.
An active early-stage investor in AI and digital infrastructure, Trevor has backed more than 60 startups, including EigenLayer and SEI. He holds an HBA from Ivey Business School and was a 2005 NHL draft pick.
Hamid Djam is CTO of Vertical Data, where he leads the technology strategy behind the company's AI infrastructure platform. With more than two decades of experience in Big Data, artificial intelligence, and enterprise analytics, he has built and scaled AI-driven programs across utilities, oil and gas, life sciences, and manufacturing.
Prior to Vertical Data, Hamid served as CTO of Analytics and AI at Dell EMC and held senior technology roles at Teradata, Oracle, and Greenplum. He is the founder of RAGNR.ai and Cognify AI Consulting, and holds a BS in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton.
Jesse Nickel is Head of Strategy, Planning, and Partnerships at Vertical Data, where he leads data center development strategy, power infrastructure planning, and equipment sourcing programs for the company's AI infrastructure build-out. He brings deep experience across the full lifecycle of digital infrastructure, from site development and large-scale asset replacement to carrier-grade network operations.
Jesse is the founder of J Nickel Consulting and has held senior leadership roles at KDDI/Telehouse, Validus Power, Cogeco Peer 1, Console/IIX, and Bell Canada, spanning data center colocation, power procurement, and telecommunications infrastructure across North American and international markets.
Jeff Chesebrough is a member of Vertical Data's Executive team, supporting the Operations function. A Chartered Director with more than two decades of leadership in innovation, governance, and organizational development, he brings institutional-grade operational expertise to the company's AI infrastructure business.
Jeff served as Founding CEO of Innovate Niagara from 2010 to 2025, Ontario's first Regional Innovation Centre, and as a Director of Meridian Credit Union, Canada's second-largest credit union. He concurrently serves as Senior Advisor to the Founder and CEO of Hoverlink Ontario and sits on advisory and governance boards at Vensuris Group of Companies, Zavista Inc., and N13 Investments. Jeff holds a BA in Environmental Economics from Brock University and the C.Dir designation from McMaster University.
Meyling Castillo is Head of Marketing at Vertical Data, where she leads the company's marketing strategy across AI infrastructure, GPU financing, and data center services. She brings senior B2B technology marketing experience from Dell Technologies, where she served as Channel Marketing Manager for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, developing regional go-to-market programs across enterprise technology channels.
She has also held the role of Marketing Manager at Maquipos and worked previously at Avianca. Her background spans technology marketing, digital marketing, channel development, and brand strategy within multinational organizations and high-growth markets. Meyling holds an MSc in Digital Marketing.
Garrett Kosowan is part of Vertical Data's business development team, focused on data center and IT infrastructure solutions across enterprise and cross-border markets. He joins from WiredRE, where he worked in compute advisory, and previously held roles at CNRS, Formattic, and Velocity Digital Nordic. His background combines formal training in international business and tax law with hands-on enterprise compute sales experience across European and North American markets. Garrett holds an LL.M. from the University of Vienna and a BSc from Jönköping University. At Vertical Data, he drives cross-border business development for the company's AI compute, GPU financing, and data center platforms.
Nazia Chaity is part of Vertical Data's business development team, where she focuses on enterprise AI compute and data center sales. She previously served as Account Manager at Cogent Communications, where she earned President's Club honours for top sales performance and repeatedly exceeded quota. Earlier in her career, Nazia held roles in investor relations at Citco and personal banking at BMO. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), majoring in Law and Business Management with a minor in Financial Management. She brings a disciplined, relationship-led approach to Vertical Data's enterprise GPU financing and AI infrastructure sales programs.
Deven Soni serves on Vertical Data's Board of Directors in addition to his role as CEO and founder. Under his leadership, Vertical Data has built an AI infrastructure platform spanning GPU server procurement, GPU financing, and data center colocation for enterprise clients. His operating background covers M&A at Lazard, technology private equity at Goldman Sachs and Highland Capital Partners, and co-founder roles at Wired Investors, Snowball Industries, and Acquira. He was founding COO of Tokens.com and holds a BS from the University of California, Berkeley.
David Hackett chairs Vertical Data's Audit Committee and serves on the Board of Directors, bringing more than three decades of CFO and executive leadership across public and private growth companies. A CPA, CA with an MBA from Ivey Business School, David provides financial governance expertise directly relevant to Vertical Data's capital markets activity and AI infrastructure financing programs.
He most recently served as CFO of 48North Cannabis from 2018 to 2021, scaling revenue from zero to over $30 million and raising more than $50 million in capital. He has also held CFO roles at Mavencare, Coupgon, Diversinet, and Aucxis Group. David holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from Queen's University.
Jaime Leverton serves on Vertical Data's Board of Directors. She is CEO of ReserveOne and an Independent Director at Riot Platforms (NASDAQ: RIOT) and New West Data, as well as Chair of the Board at Synteq Digital. A recognized leader in digital infrastructure and AI compute, she previously served as CEO of Hut 8 Mining Corp., one of the world's largest publicly traded Bitcoin miners, and as CCO and SVP at eStruxture Data Centers. Her earlier career includes senior roles at Cogeco Peer 1, National Bank of Canada, BlackBerry, Bell, and IBM. Jaime holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and the ICD.D designation from Rotman.
Marty Cicco is an Advisor to Vertical Data. A former Head of Real Estate at Merrill Lynch, he advises the company on real estate strategy and capital markets, supporting Vertical Data's site acquisition and financing activities across data center and AI infrastructure markets.
