Deven Soni is Chief Executive Officer and founder of Vertical Data. He began his career as an M&A investment banker at Lazard and later served on the technology private-equity teams at Goldman Sachs and Highland Capital Partners. He co-founded Wired Investors, Snowball Industries, and Acquira, leading multiple acquisitions and integrations, and served as founding COO of Tokens.com. Deven holds a BS from the University of California, Berkeley.
Christopher Creatura is Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and co-founder of Vertical Data. A CPA, CA, he previously served as CFO at Live Patrol, VP of Growth at Bluefin, and Operating Partner at Enduring Ventures. He began his career in investment banking at BofA Merrill Lynch and in M&A advisory at Deloitte. Christopher founded Conway Merchants, a boutique merchant bank, and is a General Partner at Corse Ventures, bringing extensive experience across M&A, capital markets, and venture investing.
Jesse Nickel is Head of Strategy, Planning & Partnerships at Vertical Data, a senior executive specialising in data-center development, power infrastructure, equipment sourcing, and large-scale asset-replacement initiatives. He is the founder of J Nickel Consulting and has held leadership roles across data center, digital infrastructure, and telecommunications businesses including KDDI/Telehouse, Validus Power, Cogeco Peer 1, Console/IIX, and Bell Canada.
Hamid Djam is Chief Technology Officer of Vertical Data. With more than two decades in Big Data, AI, and analytics, he has led AI-driven strategies across utilities, oil & gas, life sciences, and manufacturing. He previously served as CTO of Analytics & AI at Dell EMC and held senior roles at Teradata, Oracle, and Greenplum. Hamid is the founder of RAGNR.ai and Cognify AI Consulting, and holds a BS in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton.
Paula Micheltorena is Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer at Vertical Data. Based in Argentina, she joined in February 2025 from ITTDigital, where she served as Executive Assistant to the CEO, following earlier roles at Palacio and ICANA. Paula manages scheduling, communications, and day-to-day operations for the finance function, and is concurrently pursuing a degree as a certified Spanish translator.
Garrett Kosowan is Business Development Director at Vertical Data, specialising in data-center and IT-infrastructure solutions. He brings a background in international business and tax law and has worked across energy, technology, and trade sectors. Prior to Vertical Data, Garrett held roles at WiredRE (Head of Sales, Compute), CNRS, Formattic, and Velocity Digital Nordic. He holds an LL.M. from the University of Vienna and a BSc from Jönköping University.
Nazia Chaity is an Enterprise Account Executive on Vertical Data’s business-development team. She previously served as an Account Manager at Cogent Communications, where she earned President’s Club honours three times for exceeding quota. Earlier, Nazia held roles in investor relations at Citco and personal banking at BMO. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), majoring in Law and Business Management with a minor in Financial Management.
Keith Ellis is Director of Business Development at Vertical Data, a role he holds alongside Director of Sales at gpufinancing.com. He brings more than two decades of enterprise technology and services sales leadership, with prior roles at RWS Group, LanguageLine Solutions, TransPerfect, Honeywell, Enel X, XPI, and Dell Canada. Keith is a graduate of Seneca College.
Trevor Koverko is a Web3 entrepreneur and investor and co-founder of Vertical Data. He founded Polymath / Polymesh, a blockchain infrastructure platform for tokenised securities, and co-founded Tokens.com, Sapien, Matador, and DeFi Technologies. He now leads Sapien, an AI data marketplace. A graduate of the Ivey Business School (HBA) and a 2005 NHL draft pick, Trevor has backed more than 60 startups including EigenLayer and SEI.
Daniel Herrera is Chief of Staff at Vertical Data. He joined in May 2024 from Braventi, where he served as General Manager, having previously held operational leadership roles at Upwards, Invisible Technologies, and Crossover, and earlier as Chief Operating Officer at Promeco. A University of Miami graduate and PMP-certified project leader, Daniel partners directly with the CFO and CEO to drive cross-functional alignment, operational efficiency, and the execution of key company initiatives.
Gerardo Watson is Chief of Staff to the CEO at Vertical Data. He joined in March 2025 from SAGO, where he served as Associate Director, HR Partnership. With more than fifteen years of HR and operations leadership across Central America and international teams, Gerardo partners directly with the CEO and Leadership on organizational design, talent strategy, and the execution of company-wide priorities. He holds a BBA from Universidad Americana (UAM) in Managua and completed INCAE Business School's Young Executives Program.

David Hackett chairs Vertical Data’s Audit Committee and serves on the Board of Directors. A CPA, CA and Ivey MBA, David brings more than three decades of CFO and executive leadership across public and private growth companies. He most recently served as CFO of 48North Cannabis from 2018 to 2021, scaling revenue from zero to over $30 million and raising more than $50 million in capital. He previously held CFO roles at Mavencare, Coupgon, Diversinet, and Aucxis Group, and holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from Queen’s University.
Jaime Leverton serves on Vertical Data’s Board of Directors. She is Chief Executive Officer of ReserveOne and an Independent Director at Riot Platforms (NASDAQ: RIOT) and New West Data, as well as Chair of the Board at Synteq Digital. She previously served as CEO of Hut 8 Mining Corp., one of the world’s largest publicly traded Bitcoin miners, and as Chief Commercial Officer and SVP at eStruxture Data Centers. Her earlier career includes senior roles at Cogeco Peer 1, National Bank of Canada, BlackBerry, Bell, and IBM. Jaime holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and the ICD.D designation from Rotman.
